Nice video.
A wise man can always be found alone. A weak man can always be found in a crowd.

Yes, great video and shooting Hanz, now you need to get that rifle up to Newfoundland and smack a moose with it.

Thank you. I'm always amazed what these smart phones can do.

Thanks, unsure I'd shoot a moose (I like the dopey things too much) but I will have to get after some whitetail with it.

I'd like that. It's a bit more of a ride for me than Shippensburg though. I still have to shoot my first match. I expect to learn a lot.

It's amazing how the groups shrank. 64 grains was 5-6" groups up to 66 & 68 and they shrunk up nice and tight.

LOL, 10-4 Hanz, I do know after having several heaping bowls of moose stew and cornbread at camp one year they're delicious eating.

A friend of mine from NY went up to Newfoundland and shot a bull moose with his original Sharps 45-110, one shot in the shoulder at 80 yards flattened the moose, they pulled the 540 gr paper patch bullet from the rear of the bark/grass filled paunch.

I agree, the moose I've had was tasty. I've only had it twice though.

That's some penetration!

You bet it is, he had a great hunt and relives it often, I even enjoy hearing him retell the story on the phone, really keeps the fire in the wire for that older Gentleman.

RE: Finally getting somewhere!
Well I dragged the rifle with me to Pennsylvania to get some numbers for distances beyond 200 yards. I was only able to shoot to 400 yards due to some fog but I now have numbers for 300 and 400. Three other shooters shot the rifle at both distances and hit. I need some larger targets, the 300 is a 10" plate and 400 is a 12" plate.

I had hoped for more data and longer ranges but I'm still very happy with how the rifle and load performed. This is a fun journey.

Thanks, I enjoy both.

It's Mifflin County Sportsman's Association in Lewistown. It's a private club but not hard to join.
