The RCBS 44-370 that I have is to fat to fit the Green Mountain barrels I have.It will go into a Badger,but is very tight.
Have not used the Accurate 44-450,but the 44-455B does real well out of a Badger barrelled Hepburn 44-77.
Under 3 1/2" @ 300M with scope & me pulling the trigger.

Bob, I just looked at the Accurate web site again and you must mean 44-445B. That's a good looking bullet too. I'll probably go for 44-450B because I've had such good luck with 44-400B. And your shooting with your .44/77 Hepburn simply makes me want to try harder! Good shooting. Shoot sharp, Mike

Sorry about the typo. It is in fact the 44-445B. It drops @ 456gr. with my alloy.
The mould came with the rifle,so that where I started.

Bob, I've hit more typos than you, I'm sure. And I've been using 44-400B for a couple of years but wanted a different bullet to use in the rolling block. Why? I'm not sure. Just to have something different, I guess. Now it looks like 44-400B gets the job for both my Sharps and the roller. We'll just see how things go. Shoot sharp, Mike

Bob what alloy are you using? That weight comes out spot on what I've found to be working the best in the 44-77 when trying to make it reach 1000 yds.

It was mixed at 25/1 lead/tin.
I got into a hell of a train wreck with this batch of crap.
The stuff that was supposed to be tin isn't. I don't know what it is,but it ain't tin.
But that story will have wait for another day.

Thanks Bob, I bought a pig of what was supposed to be foundry poured 20-1, filthiest junk I ever got ahold of, don't know what was in it, but it kept coming out looking like shreds of the Napa rubber cork material.. Try and cast a good bullet with that stuff in there..
