i was using the Lyman 125 and 132 in my 45-70 for years right now.
Last weekend i stumbled over this Lee Bullet.
on the first look it seems to be a "ok" Bullet with its deep groves and the fat bottom.
Have you got any experiences made with this one?

Save your money. It will shoot fair to 200 or so yards, but after that it's anybodies guess where it will go.

if that is the pointy bullet , it shoots ok til the wind starts then all bets are off,like don says , there are better bullets out there

Over the years, I became a member of the "Mold of the month club", as many folks did. Every once in a while, I would go back to the 457132, and wondered why I thought I needed anything else. Its pretty darn good at close distances and very good down range. Many shoots have been won with that old design.

My experience w/ the Lee mould you referenced is similar to the other shooters, if not worse. I couldn't get them to shoot even remotely well even at 200 m (220 yards) especially on windy days, and elliptical shaped bullet holes in paper targets at 200 m. on the windy days is unacceptable. I never had a bullet hole in the paper at 500 m (550 yards). The moulds were cheap enough, but I wish I had my money back.

You can win matches w/ bullets out of your 457132 mould and full throttle loads, and you can kill about anything around that's big enough to ride w/ bullets out of your 457125 mould and full throttle loads. Good shooting to ya!

found a Video on Youtube where a guy shoot this Lee Bullet in a Euroarms Volunteer Rifle at 1000 Yards to disprove the given statement that the Bullet would be inaccurate beyond 200 yards ......

my range is limited to 100 m , think a about to give it a try.....

That asshole mag 30 necr did hit anything with that bullet, never mind the piece of crap gun and scope. That bullet will not stay stabile past 300 even on a good day

back from the Range yesterday and have to say you`re right

The Lee Bullet was not bad at 100 Meter but not as far as good like the Lyman 125 or 132.
So i will sell it at Egun and will have a look for the NOE Postell Mould

Live is a never ending learning process........

Klaus--Forget the NOE mold. Stay with the Lyman 457132 for target work, and the 457125 for hunting. I have bought well over a hundred molds, both custom and production over the years, and find myself back where I started with the Lyman Postell and the Lyman Govt. bullet. Save yourself some time and money chasing the magic mold. If it does exist, it is the Lyman 457132 Postell. Lots of guys shoot it and win with it, yet they tell you they are shooting something else. Shoot straight, rdnck.
