Well done Jim Bourn
Got home from the Midwest Championship match at Alliance Ne. a bit ago. Jim and his crew did a bang up job as usual. Had 70 shooters turn out for the long range and about the same for the buffalo match.
The winds were,,, well it's Alliance,,, ..Dodgy

The Raton gun shot very well, that 81 grs of Eynsford 1.5, and the JM3 money bullet really get things done.
Started out great this morning, but when we got to the Bear the wheels fell off, and I never could get things back together, but the 44-77 preformed admirably as usual.

You have any score results to post?

Not yet. I hope Jim gets them sent out pretty quick.
I shot a 27 on the long range, top score was a 34 or 35. Jim Shepp did that. He also shot the high score on Sunday.
I think Linda Bonefield was the high woman, but don't hold me to that until we get the score sheets.

No. It'll run at the Wyo state championship midrange bptr match. May 30 and 31st, in Worland Wy, see the link to the entry forms on this web site under competitons.....

I did run the new tank buster bullet in the 44-77, and of course shooting a bottleneck cartridge with blackpowder , paper patched bullets and just blowtubing, can't be done...Cool

I need to get some more of those cast up, now that I've seen how well the gun liked them. I think I've found a sillouette load that might just drive some folks bonkers... Kept 4 of 6 on the 500 yd circle, and 5 of 6 on the diamond,,, with no sight settings to start with.. Guy next to me accused me of cheating on account of shooting the white off the target nobody else could see it. Smile
I do like that Distant thunder midrange front sight a very lot.
