Pros and cons between these cases in 45/110.Main concern is quality and life of the cases. Thanks for any input,I am new to the 110.They are for a Shiloh #1 with a 16lb barrel.Thanks,Bob.

Bob I think the Norma brass is really good stuff. In my Shiloh I wouldn't be able to use it for GG bullets though, as the brass is a little thicker than most at the case mouth. I use it for paper patching.
Have fun with that bull barreled rifle. I've got one but mine is a #3. I really like it.
Chris.

Chris. I am using G.G. as I have a load of Good bullets to use up.I
have 25 buffalo arm stretched cases and need to have a 100 or so case to work with.If the captech case run short,Ill look into Norma.Finding brass for the 110 is fun! If any one has any for sale let me know, Thanks,Bob. (thanks Dean and Chris)

RE: Norma or Jamsion for 45/110
I cut some Norma down for my 45-2.6 and it is good brass. Interesting on the 45-90 starline as my batch of 45-2.1 is very uniform in all areas except primer pocket being a little extra deep.

RE: Norma or Jamsion for 45/110
as a side note , I been using the same 400 norma cases for 12 years and have lost one to a split , and I am pretty sure it was a flaw as it split about an inch above the head. I annealed once a year and shot 70 rounds every other day for seven of them years. I am pretty happy with norma brass,

I have had 4 rifles and they are all a bit different ,my bull is longest at 2.896
my short barrel rifle is 2,881 the other is 2.884. I would wait to trim until I got the rifle and measured the chamber ,if you want them perfect , and also they will shrink a but when fired the first time.

RE: Norma or Jamsion for 45/110
Although I'm more than happy to have a brass supply through Jamison for my 44, their cases are within .001" or so new and when fireformed, drop back considerably. Sometimes as much as 10 thou. I wouldnt want to lose that much in any cartridge or chamber. Norma brass is top quality also and comes in at 2.9" and should allow you to trim to exact chamber length. I was really happy with Norma brass in my 2 7/8" and I was running a Shiloh gg chamber. I havent sampled any Jamison 110 brass but as long as they're not too short, I'm sure they'll be good quality. Incidentally.. a lot of my new Norma brass had to be almost f/l resized to fit the Shiloh chamber in the first place, pryor to firing. Once fired, they were great to work with.
HTH.

RE: Norma or Jamsion for 45/110
A custom RCBS sizer came with the rifle. The die cost the guy $160.00,he sent them 5 fired cases to make the die.I will run the Norma brass through the die before the trim process. The rifle is a joy to shoot from the bench,it weighes in at 17'10".I am going to order Norma brass.I shot on paper today at 200 and had 1 1/2 groups.Light loads running 1275-1295fps with 512gr gg bullets.Guys again thanks for the input,Bob.
