RE: SK ammo?
Don, I assume you're asking about SK .22 rimfire ammo. If so, I haven't shot that, but it is apparently made by the same mfg. that makes Wolf Match target which I have shot in a Shiloh w/ Crossno .22 rimfire barrel insert. I can tell you the Wolf Match target shoots really well at 100 yds. in a 20 mph 3 o'clock wind, and from what I hear the SK is just as good; maybe better.

RE: SK ammo?
Looked at their website and I think they might be part of Lapua?
Anyway I see Grafs had some instock for a reasonable price, so I went ahead and ordered some.
I usually shoot Aquila Rifle Match, but I'm down to the last brick of that (or will be when Cheyenne is over) so thought I'ld start looking at other options.

RE: SK ammo?
Don,

Up here it is sold as Lapua SK and they have about four different qualities all the way to the top. I tried the SK which is their entry level stuff and sold for $6.00/50 when I bought it two years ago. I see Graf's price is $7.99. Not much choice is there, 109 products listed and only about three in stock. I shot the Forsyth Long Range .22LR match with the SK out to 350 yds. with a Crosno liner in my 40-65 Shiloh. I was very happy with the results and would use it more often if it was available locally. I picked it up on one of our trips. Back at Big Hill I was shooting Federal Target Match which goes for $3.75/50 and it performs better than I do so I'll stick with that until my three bricks are gone. It's interesting what 'supply and demand' will do to prices. At Big Hill I was quoted $7.50/50 for the same Federal Target. Maybe I should go back and get another three bricks and create a little 'supply and demand' up here. RolleyesRolleyes

RE: SK ammo?
Paul thanks for the info on that SK.I'll be interested to see how it does for us when it gets here. Don't know if it'll get here in time enough ahead of Cheyenne to try it or not..
The Aquila rifle match shoots well for me in all our rifles, but I'm always on the lookout for something different and maybe better, especially when my usual stuff is not to be found. If you saw the pictures of my swingers, that buff alongside the ram swinger, those bullet marks on him are from the Aquila match and the liner in ol Buttugly.
I also have a good deal of appreciation for the Federal Champion in the bulk boxes of 525 rounds. But at the moment anything federal in 22 is next best thing to nonexistent.

Howdy the fire!

It seems to me that SK and Wolf are both manufactured by www.lapua-gmbh.de in Germany. Go the URL and it sends you directly to an SK 22 ammo page.

Go here http://www.wolfammo.com/index.php?option...&Itemid=14 and you'll see SK and Wolf advertised together.

SK and Wolf carry the same head stamp and Wolf is also manufactured in Germany.

Anyway - as for performance -

I've been shooting SK Rifle Match and Wolf Match Extra for two seasons over maybe 12 matches. As far as I'm concerned, both can out shoot me and I'm shooting high 20s and low 30s when in practice with my better half's Winchester (Miroku/USRAC ) 1885 with 24" bbl and Baldwin sights. I have not chroned them for a comparison, but am confidant that they will be pretty close if not virtually identical in performance.

Happy shootin'.

RE: SK ammo?
According to the tracking , it looks like those 22 shells should be delivered tomorrow . So should have ample time to test them on target and see how they work in our guns in ample time prior to heading for Cheyenne.

Howdy all

What SGJ said is what I have found shooting SK Rifle Match. I have been shooting them for over a year at ranges up to 200 yds. and believe them to be at the top of the heap. Just my experience.

Good Shooting
