Lyman ladle
Someone said something about a shorter handle for these new Lyman ladlesHuh Any guesses as to who that may be, would sure like to shorten this one up.
As an aside I did a simple test with my old Ideal ladle and this new Lyman, odd as it might seem the new lyman ladle drops bullets a grain or so lighter than the much smaller Ideal ladle.. Things that make you go HUH?Undecided

RE: Lyman ladle
I melt mine off quite often , I just cut a piece if 1/4 rod and thread it , I like mine a little longer so it does not float out of the pot, .with the longer handle I can wedge it to the bottom of the pot , it sure stays cleaner thaat way.

RE: Lyman ladle
I'm thinking about 2-3 inches shorter might be about right. This being as long or longer than the mould handles just doesn't seem quite handi.
