They hang out in my stand of pines when the corn is picked and feed on the Apples and Pears on the ground.
There are 4 more just off to the left.

Compared to last year, this has been an easy winter for them. So far at least. We have only two inches of snow here. I can see that you have even less.

Jim,
We have had 4 dustings one was around 2-3" but it melted fast. The ground is not froze. It looks like we will be getting some more all week and the temp will drop below zero.

I think some cold might be heading your way soon. Prediction is very low single digit cold for 5 days starting Thursday. I hope we get some snow before that hits.

It takes about 3-4 days to get here from South Dakota unless it turns north.
We got 5" or more over night and still coming down. It's fairly warm at 32º and the snow is wet and heavy. The wind is not drifting it.
It will be below zero in a couple days.

Still looks pretty magical from where I'm sitting. Except for one week, we've had a fairly mild summer so far...but with another two months to run.. it aint over yet.
