Minnesota snow melt
Causing local problems on the Mississippi and river towns around here.
The slow lazy Mississippi has turned into the largest white water river.
The boat Marina the stored house boats are floating off their cradles.
The boat docks and ramps are very low during normal water levels.
The water level is still below the 2005 flood but it's still rising.
The water is running above the lock.

I shot the spring gong match in Harris yesterday. It’s low ground and very soggy there. They canceled today’s 600 yard part because rain and snow was predicted. We got an inch of snow here, 120 miles east.
There’s been record snow in northern Minnesota that’s all melting and heading your direction Kurt!
The spring LR match at Harris is next weekend. We’re hoping things dry up at least a little.

Jim,
It will get worse before it gets better here. My Son took these photo's with his drone.

The weather here has been up and down. 82 one day and snow and freezing two days later.
Farmers are just getting out in the fields planting and it has been raining here on and off the last two days and they are mudding the corn and beans in. Usually by this time they are pretty much done and dust flying behind the cultivators and planters.

I will pass on Harris. I had to pass Lodi this weekend also. I wonder how they got along yesterday and today. Friday it was pretty nice here and maybe they had a good day up there for the .22 match at least.

Kurt

You guys could quit hogging it all. Every big storm that passes thru here nets us another .1 to .15 inch moisture.

They say that the match at Lodi on Sunday didn't fire due to the rain and snow.

Yes, guys,
Lodi was decent for the Friday .22 match. Tricky, winds, 18 shooters.
Saturday, UGLY. mist in the air at first, and then all day very tricky 12-3:00 varying winds.
Scores were down. and we were just "beat up" by the time the match was done.
I managed to be in the middle of the pack with my 40-65. Total 16 shooters.
Match winner was Daniel Townsend, from IA. Young , early 20s blood for our aging group.
Cliff gave out medals- a large coin for both top awards and for top Paper Patch shooter. The coins are
"Jim Kluskens Memorial" awards.

Those Jim Kluskens memorial awards look pretty nice and I told Cliff they were a real tribute.
Maybe with a bit of luck in the scheduling and planning might see if can can win one at the September match.
