Hi wall set trigger problem
Purchased an 1885 with single set trigger. I cannot turn the adjusting screw it is sticking out way to far and I would like to shorten it.

Suggestions?? Not sure if it's had locktite but I don't think it would be that Tite without it.

RE: Hi wall set trigger problem
Is that a CSA single set? If so be very careful with that. Those things are very sensitive to adjustment.
But at any rate once most get those adjusted they either lactate them or nail polish, so they don't go running off again.
Might try some nail polish remover and see if that'll knock it loose.

The rifle was made by Ballard.

Might call Wyoming Armory tomorrow and ask them what they used on those set trigger screws. Think most of the Ballard guys are still there in Cody.
