A friend of a friend bought an old antique tool chest at a recent auction in Ohio. In the box was a round ball bullet mould made of soapstone.
Can any of you muzzle stuffers shed any light on this. It apparently throws 3 different diameter round balls.

I would think that soapstone would be a natural: It's inexpensive, and easy to carve, so almost anyone could make a mould with it.
