Rocky Mountain regional scores
The Colorado Rifle Club's 1000 yard range did not disappoint it's reputation of a tough place to shoot with tricky winds and mirage. Couple that with ambient temps around 95 and higher, and it made for some rough conditions.

Yep!
The morning and early afternoon was about normal for Byers!
I always get a smile in the afternoons 1:00 or 2:00 PM when the wind starts and the upper level shooters start licking their lips (I think some of them actually drool) with anticipation!
Pretty much separates them from me but, I am of the age when folks do start to drool a bit!
Aside from my wife, I can't think of a better bunch to spend a long weekend with!

I sure miss going to that match. The High Plains Challenge is a really excellent way to test yourself.

I see Zack has cleaned house again :-). Way to go Zack!

One thing you can just about bet the goldmine on, that Rio Roco bandit will be at or near the top finishers wherever he shoots.

Yeah that does seem to be something you could bet money on.

Yessir, the target rifle matches are a ton of fun to shoot, boring as hell to just watch, but shooting or spotting they are just fun.
