44-70
Got some time to shoot My pedersoli sharps in 44-70 this afternoon with some ladder loads at the Turkey line.
It did pretty good and was a nice afternoon to go to the range. These pics are 69 grains of 1.5 OE,WE brass swaged with federal large pistol primers,.030 wads, both Walters and LDPE with a BACO Postel at 530 grains
On a 12 inch gong.

RE: 44-70
It looks like you have a winner with that .44. What barrel and twist in that shooter?
The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.

RE: 44-70
It's an older Green Mountain 28 inch cut rifled barrel with a 17 twist. 435-446 and the BACO MOULD has a .435 nose and the bands are .448 so it's made when Jim would do custom work on moulds.Seems to shoot well tho. I have the print sent to make the mould and a Smith in Raton did the work.
