Howdy from Aledo Texas
I've been lurking here enjoying this web forum for a month or so now. Great topics and right up my alley. I ran across the forum when researching information on bullet casting, loading and shooting the Sharps rifle. I recently purchased a Pedersoli in 45-70. Lots of fun!
I've been casting and hand loading for about a dozen years or so. This is my first first into a BPCR.

RE: Howdy from Aledo Texas
Which model Pedersoli do you have?I have owned several in the past, and they were all accurate rifles. I still have two, a 45-70 and a 40-65. I shot some really good 100 yard groups with a couple of the 45-70s several years ago, well under an inch , in fact. I still have the targets. The Lyman 457132 Postell was a consistently accurate and reliable bullet , moreso than the custom molds I was going through at the time. Shoot straight, rdnck.

I look forward to trying the Postell with a softer alloy at long range.
My rifle is the 1874 Sharps sporting rifle. I added a Creedmoor tang and globe sight.

I have cast my Paul Jones made Postel, 30:1 with very good results.
As with my PJ Creedmoor. I shoot the bullets as cast.
I do use DGL for lube.
