Sorry about the large photo's haven't figured out how to reduce them on flickr yet.
The Michigan Regionals are over and again Steve and his crew did an outstanding job running this match again. Also the Ladies keeping books and the Saturday night BBQ and goodies where outstanding!!
This is my fifth trip to this range and it will not be my last. The people shooting at these matches here are topnotch and very pleasant to be shooting with. I cant say enough about the enjoyment Carol and I have shooting here. Learning names is tough for me so I still have to get red faced when I have to ask their names again.
50 shooters signed up for this three day match plus a sideline .22 match making four days of fun shooting and emptying a lot of cases for practice and the match.
As much as I don't like putting up with that concrete jungle going through Chicago and Gary Indiana I will keep fighting through that mess. Twice now I took the long 800 mile trip over the Mackinaw Bridge and going through my old UP hunting grounds makes it a pleasure making these matches at Alma. This trip is twice as long over the bridge then going through the jungle but it's not a problem
This match I teamed up with Cody Primeau and his Mon and I saw something I will most likely see again. Cody is a very good off hand shooter and on the chickens he made a chicken jump up in the air and land wobbling back on it's base and never fell over

I know chickens are hard to hit, especially for me but making them jump with out falling is beyond me LOL. the shot hit high on the rail and it splattered the chicken base and part way up on the leg. I think a small sliver of lead must just have passed under the base to lift it up enough that I saw a little light under it. As unusual as this was I could not give him that chicken because it was so tough LOL.
This range has some very unusual wind currents going on and I'm just starting to learn this range unpredictable misses.
