.50/95 Winchester
Has anyone had any success in loading a heavier than normal bullet for the Uberti Centenial Rifle in .50/95? Or does the barrel twist rate limit this round to express weight bullets of about 300 grs?

RE: .50/95 Winchester
yes to your question. i tried six different molds/bullet weights, all of which performed poorly. finally located an ideal #512138 430gr mold with the old style large grease grooves....on top of a slightly compressed goex load with card wad, it does quite well at 100 yds. remember the uberti twist rate is faster than an original winchester. my groups are 3-4" at 100 yds now, i may be able to even get this down a bit by trying a poly wad.

You might want to really check the bore size, a friend had one, and had a lot of trouble with it and and even contacted the maker and ended up haveing a new barrel put on.
