bullet hardness/softness
So for now I have decided to just buy bullets instead of casting my own, most of the bullet companys I have looked at list the hardness of their bullets by Brinell number not by tin to lead ratio. Can anyone tell me the brinell# I should use for black powder bullets. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I don't know if John Olson at Miles city Mt. is still casting bullets or not. He will cast what ever T/L ratio you want. I haven't seen or heard anything of John all year.

I am shooting bullets from Montana Bullet Works that are 20/1 and lubed with lube appropriate for black powder. I haven't started casting yet either. They have a few slick bullets you can paper patch too if you want.
