Sagebrush Paul Jones mini-groove money bullet
Last season and this I've shot a few hundred of these bullets and they shoot pretty good. They are capable of hitting 12" and 8" discs at 600 yards. Castings are pretty good but not as nice as my own casts and only a very few had a wrinkle or two in them. The weights were controlled pretty good but I sorted them by weight anyway just to make sure that when I loaded I had them in a range I like for best accuracy. I use them when I run short of my own bullets for practice and steel matches. They are a good bullet and shot well. I did notice some tiny lead flecks when damp patching between shots and during final clean up. The lube is a little too tacky for me and I ran a experiment to replace the lube. Boiled off the Sagebrush lube and replaced it with DGL. Lead flecks went away. I can recommend these for practice, steel and midrange shooting with this caveat: Order them un-sized and un-lubed and use your own favorite lube and they will perform quite well. I pan lube as cast. The diameter control is very good. Limited testing I did with the Sagebrush Paul Jones Creedmoor also showed very good results again with DGL lube. Just a report of my findings and if you need bullets fast, these will do nicely!
