I would think(watch OUTBig Grin)that a remote camera would be cheaper and work just as well, if not better.

RE: New Target system
I checked on this about 1 1/2 years ago and I found a thread on one of the shooting forums and they said for a single target it was $2000. plus.
Here is one set up in Australia
Tom, a civilian club at Swanbourne Rifle Range in Western Australia installed Kongsberg electronic target for ranges of 300-1000 yards. Two different sized targets are used the 1800 x 1800 mm is used for 300 to 600 yards and a 1800 x 3000 mm is used on the long-ranges 700 – 1000 yards. The system is wireless and has proved to be extremely reliable and accurate. The whole system cost around $26,000

A little to high for setting one up in a corn field.

RE: New Target system
A while back I posted on the Shiloh forum building a system for the Wasserburger mile shoot that is a simple ATV circuit that will transmit a Video single with ease using a camcorder and a walkie talkie and a old tv set or lap top at the firing line but I threw the parts back in the parts box and didn't finish it when I herd the shoot will not be held anymore.

RE: New Target system
Wonder if that system the NRA is promoting will come down in price a bit?
still tho at 2000 that's not terrible bad considering you could technically run several shooters at once (like in a gong match) Altho that would take away from the best part of the bptr matches, being able to take your time and shoot when you're plumb ready...
