Mike,
My smokeless elk rifle has a piece of tape on the butt-stock also . Someday I'll have to see if I can remember what all those numbers mean .... again Angry !
That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!

RE: cheek weld
Been wanting to shoot for weeks now but I'm just too much of a sissy to fight this heat! Was a smooth 100F here yesterday...more today and not a cloud in the sky! We could use a rain on the soybeans; corn is made and will be combined in about a week. All you boys up Wyoming, Montana, I know are having it cooler than here but the only solace we boys in the southern USA have is that pretty soon you'll be 'locked in' like we are now with your snow and ice and wearing two pairs of long johns!!

Some butt-stocks are made with a rather mild comb area and some folks don't get a firm contact while shooting the longer-distanced target.

Are some shooters doing well without a firm contact on the rifle comb?

Old minds are curious,

AFTER-You get it 'rite'--
Get'n it 'rite' for each, and every shot is the key here.

Not so fast there Rick, It was 101 yesterday, 104 today at noon, and Red Flag warning thru tomorrow night .... Summer finally got here. I've got about 100 acres of hay to get up,, guess we'll see who wins this race me , or momma nature....
Then I got to get some sight settings for the upcoming Rocky Mtn regional, and the Utah state sillouette match,,, oh and did I mention I need to load ammo enough for two shooters for both HuhHuhBig Grin
And I still want to go to the high country and go fishin..
