RE: 22 Hornet
Gussy if I had a way to send you powder I would give you a bottle of A-2230-C that I use in the .222. very good powder for the .222. it has the same burn rate as A-2460 that is just a little slower than A-1680.
I have three full bottles of this powder that I will never shoot up in the .222.

Thanks Kurt, but I think the BLC2 that I do have will work. I like it for it's easy metering and it shoots well and clean too. I've come up with about 500 .223 bullets, 45gr. I will work on a load this winter.

I just bought an excavator (small Kubota) and have a bunch of work to do before winter. I'm not going to have much shooting time for the next few weeks with the digging and my wine grapes are starting to ripen along with 20++ fruit trees.

Gussy I have a International back hoe sitting in the back yard that died about 10 years ago and I also have been looking for a tractor to put the hoe on. I have a lot of gopher wood trees that need to be thinned out and stumps dough out.
I didn't get any fruit this year. We had a very late frost that killed off the blossoms. Just a few apples made it maybe two bushels from the dozen or so trees and no grapes or Apricots for jam this year.
Trade you some powder for Apples Smile

RE: 22 Hornet
Gussy, I think you will find the BLC2 will be way too slow. I would suggest A1680 or WC680 if you can find either, they're about as slow as you can use. Actually I found 13-13.5 gr 1680 to be the best accuracy wise in my Handi, also in my 77/22, YMMV. GW
