1889 Marlin?

Don, I was doing a little research tonight on my Marlin 94 and found this site, http://oldguns.net/sn_php/marlinlookup.php, I was able to look up the date of manufacture of mine. When you get back home you can do the same, I was surprised at the age of my rifle, it would be interesting to hear how old yours is.
Mine, I would guess, was a delux model. Down side is the butt stock has been replaced but the original forearm is still there, checkered and looks like it was very nice wood. Part Octagon barrel, 3/4 magazine, silver blade front and semi buck horn rear, "marlin safety" stamped on top of the receiver. Cal 44w. Made in 1893 according to the site.
