It depends on how long that bullet is and how radical the taper is. I have two tapered moulds, one from Tom Ballard and one from KAL.
Both shoot OK but I have never got great accuracy from them. The KAL tapered .44 Gibbs is a fine shooter but the length and taper is right. The Tom Ballard for the .45 has a fast taper like what you mentioned and is a little erratic at longer ranges.
The .450 base is good when it gets patched to groove diameter it has several plusses like it can be seated out like a patched straight shanked bore diameter bullet if you like to carry it in a belt for hunting if the profile like the original Sharps bullets where.
You have to be careful when you pick a tapered bullet. When the taper gets to much and the ogive is to long it takes work to get them to shoot well.
