RE: sonic cleaner
I waited to reply to this until I was sure...but now I'm positive!!

Since I got a sonic cleaner I have had trouble finding the Hornady Brass cleaner at my local stores...When I did find it I saw that it was quite expensive.

I wondered, "What could it be made of?" A little research produced the Hornady "Manufactures Data Safety Sheet"..

It is just a 15% solution of "Citric Acid" I looked on ebay and sure enough 5lbs of pure Citric Acid for $14 Shipped!!. In 3 days it was on my doorstep.

I did several batches and wasn't really convinced...It cleaned very well, but my brass looked kind of tarnished. Using distilled water helps..but not completely.

Then I tied cold water and there was the answer!!! I even use tap water now. 2 tsp's of citric crystals and few drops of dish soap, 30min in the Hornady Magnum..and my brass looks new, inside and out as well as the primer pockets.

I have now cleaned every brass that I can find and after many 1000's of brass I feel it is the answer. I hope this helps you guys out...unless you like it when Hornady gets in behind you and forces you to "assume-the-position" ConfusedConfusedTongue
