I don't know Lyn, if I were tempted to make a do it all bolt gun, I think I'ld take a look at maybe rebarrelling a Remington 788 with a heavy barrel in 308.
And of course the model 70 and Rem 700 are both near and dear to me when it comes to bolt guns. And then there's the grand ol cartridge that all others are judged by.... 3006 Smile
