I cast a bunch of the Sharps bullets yesterday 1 3/8" long flat base like they used for the creedmoor and some 1.425". They used a 550 gr at 1-13/32" long in the .44-100 bn.
If they used that 550 gr I have some doubts that they used the slow 1/19 1/20 ROT in the .44-100BN because I get oblong holes at 200 yards shooting that bullet using the 1/19 Rough rider.
But your right about that prolate. It's a fine shooter inside the pig line but @ 800 when the winds get around 10 mph the groups open up.

Looks like Lodi will be another load development match Undecided
