Time to continue load development with my .44-77.

Jim,

There is no shame having to use a scope.
There was a time I used a 1/8 MOA dot and I still have one scope with one on my HP rifle and I cant see the dot now.
At the Palma match I could not see the cross hairs using the DZ scope on the black target and it has a darker hair than the MVA's I have. I had to look at the horizontal and vertical lines outside the black and judge the center and by the time I shot the third target I had that down pretty good.
When all was over Arnie mentioned using the post with the HP rifles and I also used the post with them and sometimes I used the post at Lodi but I lost the fine line of white under the black bull and it hit me why not hold the scope at 6-o-clock where I can see the cross on the light paper.
I'm going to the range tomorrow when I get back from physical therapy and get a 200 yd 6 o-clock hold on the .44, .38 and .22 to see how I get along with that.
As much as I dislike using a scope I have to adjust using one if I want to keep making shoots.
