No I don't think a couple passes of fine wool would take a sharp edge off the lands or scratch the bore. Even if it would take that sharp edge off you would never see the difference down range.

I'm going to town today and get some twill fabric that is a little rougher woven and some cheese cloth if I can find some. Cheese cloth has always done a fine job cleaning behind GG bullets.

Many rifle barrels have been ruined by improper cleaning. This is a fine rifle and I want to keep it this way.
