RE: Shiloh 1877 finally on the schedule
Shiloh will drill and tap the holes in the proper place. They might put the bases on for you, but it's not a hard thing to do when you get the rifle and scope. They might do the whole enchilada for you, but that's something you'll need to ask them about.
If you have a good hard case that is big enough you can leave the scope on. Taking it off and on isn't that big of a deal, but having an inch pound torque screw driver will make reinstalling it go much smoother.
