Jim,

I have a .40-70 throating reamer made for the Shiloh but I have used it for cleaning the throat in my Browning .40-65 but it's not a good idea to use a T handle to do this job because you won't have back support using a bushing in the rim recess to keep it inlign with the bore properly the barrel would have to be pulled and chucked up in the lathe to do it right.
Also using this reamer it would be best to make a chamber cast to make sure the neck diameters are the same. I lost the specks for this reamer do to a computer crash and I don't know if it's a 5º/2.5º compound or a 4º
I haven't figured out how to post a picture here on the PM section.
I hope flicker works.
