Lube Recipes using Mutton Tallow

it was you who raised the ugly head of the elusive ozokerite some years ago.
i used to make a lube for 58 cal minies with 50% beeswax and 50% tallow which worked ok.
one of ned roberts books lists recommended lubes by the great single shot rifle makers, and at least one of them recommended tallow on its own.
if i could get whale oil, i would be happy with whale oil, tallow and beeswax.
whale oil has a completely different feel than any other oil i have felt. almost greasy, and very sticky.
dexron was developed to replace whale oil, and i would try dx 1, as that could be closer to whale oil, being the first one.
