The Norma cases with the tapered rim head a couple thousands will not have much effect especially with you shooting a GG bullet. Let the breach block finish seating the last thousand and the case will be against the blocks face.
Also the Norma cases are thick at the base, they take high pressure.
I have loaded my cases several years with the rim recess cut for .078" with no signs of base seperation.
