My 2 cent worth.
I just got my CPA action and new Shilen rachet 22 barrel back and went to a local silhouette match. I couldn’t shoot the whole match, just the 1st 2 animals. I put a DZ scope on the rifle Friday night. I had not shot or even seen if a loaded round would chamber in the new set up. I had no scope settings either. I got scope settings from a friend in a text, he had about the same set up, and had shot at that particular range before.

I was shooting Federal Gold Medal Target ammo in the orange box. About $4.50 for 50 rounds.

It was sunny, 30 degrees, and a straight 10-15 mph crosswind. Too darn cold to be shooting.

I hit 10 pigs, and then 9 turkeys. The one miss was my fault. My right elbow was on a empty spent 22 case that rolled when i pulled the trigger. My spotter even saw my shoulder move when I fired.

My scope needs to be moved forward also about an inch. Very uncomfortable shooting it.

I don’t know what chamber they put in the barrel. It’s a 28” with a #4 profile. Probably a bit heavy for offhand shooting but I’ll make it work.

I am very happy with my CPA. Money well spent if you want to be competitive.
