RE: Designing the 2-diameter paper patch bullet.
Arnie I have six rolls of each of the 55W and 55Y I found at Staples And I made a sizing die to take two thousands off the patched bullet. I normally don't like reducing a bullet but this is working. I'm not going to change anything till I get a chance to work up a 5-600 yard load when I find a range. I might rejoin the Milan range or shoot across the field here. Alma will also start back up in April so I will get things worked out.
Don also gave me 50 two diameter bullets a few years ago and I have 17 left I can reduce the base on and see if they fly in the 14 twist .40 but I don't think that I can improve on the straight sided bullets I have. It will be a long winter with time to get a load and see what recovered alloy looks like.
The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
