Yes I have looked in my old Lyman manual it has a section for cast bullets and it lists reduced cast bullet loads with fast burning powder like 8 gr of unique 15 gr of 2400 16 gr of 4227, 4198 and 3031 with 20 grains and this will give me 1400 fps. I gug through some of my .30-30 boxes and I have some loaded with 20 gr of 3031 but man those loads must be from back in the 70's or 80's. I just haven't been shooting the high power rifles except for the 700 .308 or the 99 savage in the .300 savage now and then.
I have a old fridge in the shed I use for storing welding rods and powder and I found a part of a can of 3031 but twisting the lid off it sure bites the nose. $3.87 price on the can.
