I see Brian listed the Spring Baker match so I better start thinking getting something loaded for the 93 Marlin .30-30. I haven't worked with this rifle since I got it except to see if it fires. I have the bullets cast but nothing loaded. All I have for smokeless powder is 4895 and black. For this game I better use smokeless because the relay will be moving pretty fast with most will be shooting smokeless.
I need you .30-30 shooters make a suggestion for powder for this old 1893 Marlin. It has the Special smokeless steel barrel but I want to keep it at 1400 fps or less with the accurate arms 31-151-G bullet that is a little light at 150 gr.
