Ok folks who wants to spill their guts about running this stuff?
Shadow, Porta, Semtav, you guys payin any attention?
I loaded 20 rounds with 37 grs and a .060 wad in fireformed Remington cases, primed with Federal 215 match primers, and topped with the 527 gr money bullet from John Olsen. She ran these thru her hiwall for a few rounds then I finished the lot up.
Anyway accuracy was pretty decent at 300.
So I cleaned the gun washed the brass, and am now comtemplating the next effort to see if we can get this stuff to work for Carol and her hiwall.
Thinking next go will be 39 grs with the 645 saeco bullet, see if the recoil isn't slapping her in the cheek as much as the heavier bullet...

You know me, straight smokeless. Do have a chance to sit next to a guy that does shoot it and he does quite well with it. I sat next to him at the Montana thousand yard, don't know if he was shooting 209 or not, if he was it worked well for him.

On another note, I've had speaks with another gentleman that tried it out and tried the if you use it you're not supposed to have to clean your rifle right away like black powder, left it dirty, for three, four or five days (can't remember) then cleaned his rifle. He recommends cleaning your rifle sooner, rather than later. Don't know if he still uses it.

Which reminds me I should maybe clean mine from the last shoot I had? I think that was back in October Not sure. Oh well the joys of shooting the powder of the devil.

I wasn't that interested in spending more for 209 than I spend on smokeless and getting more mess in return

That money bullet is what I was using at the Montana 1000, that 645 gr is going to give more bite at the South end of the stock, not so sure even I'd like that considering I'm a slightly larger mountain than Miss Carol.
