The Lyman 457-671 bullet has a very close profile to a shortened postell. It is a gas check bullet that can be made a flat base and it also has a shorter nose that would be a benefit for shooting in a fouled chamber for taking more shots with out fouling control.
It is as is a 470 grain and that length can be kept and also lightened up some by making it with a thinner base band like the 132 and widen the three grooves that would be better for lube left behind in the bore for fouling and it also would lighten the bullet and keep the length. A wide shallow wide lube groove is better then a narrow deep groove. A groove deeper then ten thousands deep is a waste of lube because it will never come into contact with the bore.
It will be hard to find one of the original Ideal perfection moulds with the 415 gr or the 475 gr cavity or adjustable.
I would look for a bullet cast in the 457-671 mould and see what you can do away with the gas check and make it a thinner base band.

Another thought.........you can get that mould and it the alignment pin is below the sprue plate far enough you can have the block milled off enough to do away with the gas check notch. I done that before.
