Good Moriing all around,

last weekend i went to my Range for a practise Trial with my Roller and his new rear and frontsight configuration ( Full Buckhorn and Penny Front)Wink.
Unfortunately our 100m Range was occupied by a Muzzeloader Competition and so i remained on 50m. I wanted to try some new Match like a Shilhoutte Shooting for short ranges. For this time i shot 10 Round standing freehand on a PIG and 10 Rounds kneeling Freehand on Chicken target.
It fits very well with my approved load about 70 grs Black and Lyman 457125 Bullet
But during the shoot i had the thought that for this short distance ( up to 100 meters the fully charge and the 525 grainer are waste of Powder and Lead. I remebered a charge for the Trapdoor Carbine with 55 grs Black and a 405 grains Bullet.
So i investigate and found out that the Lee 459 405 HB was a nearly perfect Bullet like the Original Goverment Bullet for the reduced Load.
Have you gents any experiences with the Carbine load in your Rifles ?

thy for any advise

Klaus
