Our local shooting club here sold about 3,000 lbs. of range scrap recently from the big indoor range here to the local scrap yard for $0.18/lb. about a month ago. I don't know what pure lead scrap is going for right now, but metal prices are down quite a ways at the moment.

After the Flint, MI blow-up re: lead contamination in the water a lot of cities and towns will likely be forced to replace the old lead water pipes. Shooters and fishermen need to be at the front of the line at scrap yards, when that starts to happen.
