The heavy round barrel makes for a bit heavier rifle.
If you want an octagon barrel you can configure a rifle with the pistol grip and stock.
The less cartridge choices is due to the round barrel doesn't share all the caliber options of the octagon barrels.
Yes I think the set trigger on the 75 is worthwhile, you might not need/ use it, but if you decide you want it it's there.
Have it drilled and tapped for a scope while it's in the process, you don't have to mount a scope, but if the holes are there it will save some headache should a scope be something you want to try.
