This is my take on wads for the GG bullets you asked for.
I think this is a personal preference because the diameter of a GG bullet is mostly groove or slightly over groove diameter so lube migration is not a problem. A wad is mostly there to protect the bullet base from getting distorted from the powder granules. 1FG beats the base more then 2 or 3F. Here is an example of what a GG bullet base will look like with no wad or just a thin wax paper wad using a 1/30 alloy bullet. The harder alloys will not have base damage as bad but even 1/16 will still get the powder impressions just not as deep. So I use just a single milk carton or a thin wad cut from serial boxes.

For the PP bullets I use wad stacks that are different for the alloy temper and finished bullet diameter. I wont go into this because you asked for GG bullets because it gets a little lengthy protecting the bullet more so then keeping the lube from migrating to the powder especially the lube I use for the PP bullets.
