Starline 50 90 brass
My order for the Lyman die set and 100 pieces of brass arrived today. Unboxed in a jiffy and measured that oal. 60 came in at 2.495 with a few at 2.496 (These I'll set aside for use with paper patched bullets) 16 cases at 2.492, 1 case at 2.491. 21 went 2.493. I'll mark these with a nick on the rim to keep for greaser's. When these are annealed and fire formed I'll trim to uniform length and run them with a grease groove exposed to fill the gap. We will see where these all end up after initial fire forming. You will notice that I'm 2 cases short on the order. I sent off a polite email to BACO and asked them for the missing brass and I'm sure they will take care of me. Great company to do business with. ( I do not mind odd numbers when in my cartridge belt, but I really like to see my cartridge boxes with all 20 spaces filled, just a little OCD when it comes to that). Bullet mold #51-550S should be on the way from Accurate Molds and now just have to await the arrival of the rifle. This should really be fun!!!
