Sam what it says is that each class is a match unto itself. IE the people classified as Expert are shooting in a separate match as those in Marksman. All shooters are eligible for the overall/open trophy. But in the end the person that wins the scope class is in this case the scope national champion. If a person that wins the overall or open title, then the next highest person in that class gets the class title. In other words you won't be awarded high Sharpshooter and National Champion, you will be awarded the National Champion, but the next score behind will be the national class (sharpshooter) champion.
