RE: your "Brand" spotting scope and
I have a Kowa 80 mm, 27X scope that is primarily used for NRA High Power Rifle matches out to 1000yds. While it is a great scope bullet holes are tough at about 300+ yds. For BPCR shoots an inexpensive
100 mm Barsika scope is used usually set at 25 to 50X. "Seeing" with either scope also depends on a firm mount. I picked up a Cabin Tree tripod at '12 Quigley (yep, that year's wind made it well worth it;-) During '14 Quigley I met the maker/vender again in Quigelyville and picked up some upgraded parts (foot cups and screws).The extra parts are redundant but that's how I roll. When attempting hits on silhouettes or spotting the trace of bullet on it's path down range having a steady mount like Cabin Tree is essential. It actually makes these 2 scopes from opposite ends of the price range about equal on the rifle range.
