JB I think the Missoula match is a target match, they usually have the sillouette at Butte.
But then too there is Shadow4 and knobsmt's long range match at Baker the weekend after the Q.

Ahh.. well I may have misread the post then or it was wishful thinking on my part . Never mind... would have been a stretch with leave and $$ ..but sounded mighty tempting.

It is Silhouettes at Missoula!!! ..I have not shot Silhouettes too many places, but of all the places that I have been, the missoula range is one of the finest! Seems everyone adds a few points to there average every time we shoot there.

It is a major match...Plus them boys can shoot!!! So if anyone came and stomped them you would be a serious competetor! And I think it would probly take more than a 16lb gun...lol

Since this is a registered match, the NRA's 12lb 2oz rule,(Iron's) may be more stictly enforced then it would be at a club match. But I bet if you were a couple oz.'s over you would probly skate by.

With the Missoula shoot being +8hours from the "Q" and Baker only a couple...the Baker shoot looks pretty good!! http://historicshooting.com/mybb/showthread.php?tid=805

Plus it is a MAJOR kick in the ass to shoot along side Shadow4 and Knobsmt.....good luck outshooting Shadows daughter!!

Thanks Freedom. I gathered I would have been 'mixing it' with some seriously capable shots if could make it but was looking at it as more of an 'experience' to participate in more than anything else. No ridiculous expectations here. I'm fully tasked just trying to better my own last score ..let alone anyone elses ! We all enjoy the trip to the Q but is as much recreation as competition. My rifle would be on the high side of 12 1/2 lbs anyway so that is probably another mark against me. I'm catching up with friends in Bozeman after the Q , so that would break up my travelling time anyway. Thanks for the info though

Dang few days left 'fore the Quigley, so I best git my ars in gear and load a couple hundred shells. Ol' Dave has two matches before the Q, so he ought to be dead-on come Q goin' time (rascal)!
