Pack reloading tools
Is there something out there besides the Lee pack tool that I can use the 7/8X14 dies in?
I traded my toy hauler and dont have a reloading bench anymore.

RE: Pack reloading tools
Kurt, HDS still makes their small inline press I believe, I use a old CH "H" press mounted to a 16" chunk of 2x6 that I C clamp to bumpers or where ever.Last few years when going to the Q we bring Rogers lightweight Lee that is mounted to a plate that goes on top a 2.5" tube with a disc shaped pedestal base. I believe that pedestal and tube mount were available thru Frankfort Arsenal or maybe Lee Precision. It's the best portable deal I've seen yet, sit in a camp chair with a cold drink and pull the press handle at the same time. bobw

I have a big box that is full of stuff and a jr. Press that is going to be mounted to a plate and an additional top will be mounted on the box .the press will slide under the top making a solid bench .I will probably pack bullets in the box . This will make a more portable outfit then I now use.

Meacham makes a portable press that might work for you. I don't have one so can't comment about the quality but I do have one of their push through lubrisizers and it's well built.

TNX guys.

I have a press mounted on a steel plate that mounts in the trailer hitch so I can use the tailgate for a bench I used before getting the last camper. But what I'm looking for is something I can do out of the wind and the HDS tool Bob mentioned is just what I'm looking for. It's a lot handier than the Lee or Meacham anywhere tool.

Watched the video on that Summit press from RCBS, that thing looks like it would be portable enough with a bit of ingenuity, and would make a good press for compact bench space at home.. Hmm wonder if Santa Claus might have one of those in stock.....

Kurt that pedestal base and tube with plate on top to mount an ordinary press is really a slick outfit.Would go in the motorhome anywhere. bobw

RE: Pack reloading tools
Tongue Well that's right thoughtful of you to order that bench thing for Carolyn to replace her kitchen table with. She'll like having that space to cook on while you're reloading.AngelBig Grin
