RE: New tumbler
The RPM on my Arsenal is faster then the Rebel 17 but I really don't see it as a problem. You can dampen the Arsenal some filling the barrel like they suggest and just add a little extra squirt of Dawn or Jungle Jack soap that I like to use that dampens the brass fall if you feel it needs it.
Here is a simple fix to slow down the RPM on your tumblers https://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywor...i5i77rtx_b Just add a Rheostat so you can control the RPM Just a simple dimmer switch listed here will do this job or if your not much into wiring one up there are extension cords all wired up so you just plug the tumbler in and do your thing. I build mine from my HAM Radio spare parts I have.

Jim I do my separating a little different then you do. I just use one screen with small enough mesh that will hold the SST pins that fits a 5 gallon bucket and dump the barrel in it. I use a mix of SST and the ceramic. Let the water drain and pick out the brass and put the media back in the barrel. The water I leave in the bucket till the bucket is about 1/2 full and I reuse the same soapy water for several times. The dirt form the water will settle out by the time I clean brass again (about 2-3 days) and it's good as fresh.
Here is my classifier I use. https://www.amazon.com/Mineral-Sifting-C...iers&psc=1

Forgot to mention.....The Arsenal tumbler motor is only rated at 1.5 Amps.

RE: New tumbler
I have been using the Frankford Arsenal tumbler and like it a lot. The soap that came with it left a greasy film on the cases so I switched to Dawn and Lemi-shine. I use the steel pins and my brass comes out clean and looks like new inside and out. I have had no problems with the tumbler speed deforming cases and such. I got the magnate which is really handy for picking up the steel pins where ever they land; from inside the bucket to in the lawn when I dump the water and a few get away. The magnate picks them up and puts them right back in the tumbler. It does the job.

RE: New tumbler
To separate the pins from the brass I use one of the clamshell type separators,RCBS,Midway, etc. The pins in the separator get poured into a 5 gal bucket with a 5 gal paint strainer bag in it.The mesh of the bag traps all the pins and you can rinse them out and leave them bagged up in the bucket. --Mike.
