RE: Hey Kurt
Don.

This bullet is a little wide in diameter for shooting dirty. I had one stuck during my Buff hunt and no rod with me to clear the bore.
Lucky for me one of the hunting parts handed me his rifle if I needed a second shot but it was not needed.
I'm still contemplating making my .44-77 into a Gemmer conversion just to have a rod with me.
Where have I seen this rifle before? http://www.gunsamerica.com/Classifieds/V...90428.aspx

RE: Hey Kurt
Or carry a section cleaning rod in your back pocket.

RE: Hey Kurt
Kurt I had no problem with the 10 rounds. I even left the breech open for a bit before loading the following round. Thing's worked great until we got to the paper rings on the last couple of rounds with the tank buster, but that was after 17 rounds total.... If I have to shoot that many to get a iddy biddy antelope I think I'll sell my guns and take up golf....

RE: Hey Kurt
Rick I already have have 4 sections cut and hols bored but not threaded yet for next years hunting season to stick in my possible bag.
Even have the hide cut for the bag.
I will not have a stuck bullet again and not be able to get it out!!!

That is a nice rod!!
