RE: This is what kepted me waiting ....
Looking good.
FWIW: I would go back to the 400 grit for just a bit and then move to the 600 for finish. Run the drill in both directions
Then use some toothpaste on a 'mop' for the last touch.
Glad your getting this fixed

No Gary I don't want to take anymore out, just polish it.

The case you had to push out.
Were there any marks on it from the area you worked?

No just on the rim edge.

Sounds like you'll need to 'dress' the rim OD just a bit.
Glad you got her shooting so well.
Heck, I wouldn't do anything to the chamber then.

RE: This is what kepted me waiting ....
Well the weather has been super for many days here. Absolutely the best conditions for seeing how a rifle will shoot.
This week I burned up 2 lbs each of 2F and 1.5F KIK powder and 20 some lbs of lead down range shooting this 2.6 Remington straight chambered Sharps and I can almost with complete confidence say this rifle is a 200 yard 1 MOA rifle.
This 1.3X35" round heavy barreled rifle is a very steady consistently shooting rifle on the 200 yard paper.
Since I lapped out the rough chamber the cases slide right out and the brass does not need any extra work except cleaning after use.
The patched bullets just twist into the case and they stay put.
I havent run any chronograph readings to see what the deviations are or how fast and the ES is using the three bullets I been using from the round nosed .409 grain to the 507 grain prolate and the 500 gr KAL elliptical they all shoot the same but the round nosed has a slight edge so far.
It does not seem at this point at 200 yards what the powder type or load used in it and the 4 different primers I have used in it from match pistol to the 215 fed mag primers and some old Alcan mag primers that are very old.
Now I have to go some place where I can stretch the distance to the 1K line.
